About Us
Somalia Equality and Human Rights Organization (SEHRO) is a non-governmental, non-political organization dedicated to advancing and protecting human rights in Somalia. At SEHRO, we believe in putting humanity first by advocating for democracy, the rule of law, and justice in every sphere of life. Our work focuses on promoting civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights, ensuring that every individual in Somalia enjoys the fundamental rights they deserve.

AIMS
Our advocacy efforts focus on raising awareness of the challenges facing human rights defenders and marginalized communities in Somalia. SEHRO is committed to the following advocacy initiatives:
- Women’s Rights: We campaign for equal access to education, healthcare, and employment for women and girls across Somalia. Empowering women is crucial to building a just and prosperous society.
- Minority Rights: SEHRO advocates for the protection of minority groups, ensuring that their voices are heard and that they are protected from discrimination and violence.
- Freedom of the Press: We stand for the freedom of the press, encouraging an open and transparent media environment that can hold those in power accountable.
- Environmental Justice: In response to the growing challenges posed by climate change, we advocate for environmentally sound policies and practices that protect both people and the planet.
- Fighting Corruption: Corruption is a barrier to justice and human rights. We actively expose corrupt practices and work with civil society and the media to promote transparency and accountability.
